Cheiron Achieves First Gas from the West El Burullus Concession

Cheiron is pleased to announce that it has achieved first gas from the West El Burullus (WEB) field, with initial production of around 45 mmscf/d. This milestone reflects both the exceptional work done by the Petroweb team as well as the great collaboration between the EGAS and Cheiron teams over the past months.

This achievement forms part of Cheiron’s wider investment program to drive sustainable growth across its portfolio, in alignment with the Egyptian Government’s ambitious production development agenda.

Petroweb is now hard at work to bring online two additional wells which will see WEB’s production reach 75 mmscf/d in early 2026.

Cheiron acquired its 100% working interest in the WEB Concession from the French energy group Engie in 2017.
